Happy 250th, America!

I would loved to have written a blog for America’s 250th birthday, but my circumstances through June were not ideal for writing. Instead, I will share an important quote from the podcast, “The World and Everything In It,” broadcast earlier this year on May 4, 2026:

“You cannot promote freedom and markets and enterprise without attaching it to our faith and transcendent truths.  (Those who) have a moral framework and a creational theology to explain free markets (all our freedoms really) have a chance to be a full antidote to the radicalism of May Day and (other) protests and communism (or socialism) and all of these other failed experiments, but we have to do it fully armed with the Christian worldview (as found in Scripture).” ~ David Bahnsen

Wife, mother and grandmother, educator and someone who thinks about the things I observe. I am the daughter of a writer; my dad's career was in the field of journalism. More significantly, I am God's child, a person believing in Jesus Christ and in His timeless Word. Blogging is new to me but I feel like I've always had a pen in my hand. I jot notes in my planner, mark papers, underline verses, write many letters, and occasionally draft articles for work or church. When I am not holding a pen, I am probably cuddling a mug of coffee.
